Volcom embodies the prevalent “Youth Against Establishment” philosophy of the early 90s, an enlightened state supporting young creative thinking at the time, and helping to define the underrepresented snow and skate industries. Today, the brand runs on the same kind of spirit, with its creativity now flowing through its art, music, filmmaking, and athleticism.

As music has always been a major part of the Volcom DNA, we launched a campaign that would strongly resonate with girls who epitomize the music festival lifestyle, those who wander the deserts of Indio or explore the byways of SXSW, preferring to stumble upon tucked away treasures to discover a sound and style all their own, rather than simply get lost in the masses. 

For their Summer 2015 campaign “True to This,” we had major influencers in the fashion, music and lifestyle scenes groove into summer with Volcom’s festival-ready threads, incorporating them into their road trips and wanderings. We gave them the freedom to style them in their own unique ways, while sharing their favorite memories and nostalgia of the brand’s musical roots.
