Like an anachronistic clip out of a classic Baz Luhrman film, the annual contemporary art fair in Miami comes through once again on its parade of creative exhibitionism – drawing energy from some of the most exclusive, diverse and eccentric of connoisseurs and tastemakers across the world.
Art Basel is the Cirque du Soleil of art, music and culture – an explosion of style and inspiration. It’s where internationally savvy and fashion-minded jetsetters like Haruna Yokota of Haruna Barbie Girl majorly find themselves in their element.
She's not only an international tastemaker but the creative mind behind a new clothing line she describes as "soft as your first kiss, comfortable as your mother’s fur coat, and reminiscent of those mischievous nights at Studio 54.”
If there's few things reminiscent of that today, one of them would most definitely be the scene at Art Basel. So feast your eyes on this psychedelic photo diary of a 3-day wonderland – full of interesting people, covetable street style, intriguing art pieces, parties on parties, and of course, her top outfits-of-the-day.
